Graduate & Professional Student Council

Congressional Research Service (CRS) - 2020 Graduate Recruit Program

The Congressional Research Service (CRS) recently launched its Graduate Recruit Program for 2020, a competitive program which offers librarian and research analyst opportunities across a variety of issue areas including macroeconomic policy, defense logistics, government organization and management, health economics, and social policy.  The program is open to students currently enrolled in an advanced degree program. Initial appointments of up to 120 days will begin in the summer of 2020. Those with successful performance in this program may be considered for permanent placement with CRS at the end of the summer or whenever they complete their graduate degree requirements.

Arizona Corporation Commission (Internship)

Commissioner Lea Márquez Peterson is offering an unpaid internship to one or more qualified graduate students located in Phoenix or Tucson. This internship is available immediately. The internship will give students a unique opportunity to supplement their academic experience and coursework with a deep dive into the day-to-day operations of an elected public official and the subject matter of a state-wide administrative agency, which includes energy, water, and public utilities, and its quasi-legislative, quasi-executive, and quasi-judicial processes.

Joint Legislative Budget Committee (Job Opportunity)
