Arizona Bar Foundation Intern - Internship Opportunity (REPOST)

The Arizona Bar Foundation (aka the Arizona Foundation for Legal Services) is in need of a graduate student interested in interning with the Foundation for 1 year or longer (preferably 2).  The right candidate must be knowledgeable in statistical analysis including:

  • Quasi experiments;
  • Control groups;
  • Quantifying qualitative data;
  • Extracting variables;
  • Running correlations, graphs and analysis on quantitative data;
  • Pre and post assessments;
  • Performance based assessments;
  • Self assessments; and
  • Report compilation.

The candidate must also possess people skills, the ability to follow-up with educators to ensure data integrity and work independently.  The intern will need to be available during the school year and summer as well as in person and virtually.  Hours are dependent on university and course requirements.  With the approval and guidance of the Chief Administrative Officer/Director of Impact*, the graduate student may use portions of the data as their Master’s Thesis/Evaluation project for graduation.  The report must be approved by the Foundation prior to being released to the university.  $2,500 stipend is allotted per year for the right candidate and supports the work of the Foundation and the American Civics Education Program funded by the Arizona Department of Education.

Arizona Legislative Internship Program

 The Arizona Legislative Internship Program (ALIP) is a partnership between the University of Arizona and the State of Arizona that invites students from each of Arizona’s three public universities to participate in a paid internship with the Arizona State Legislature every year.
The Legislative Internship Program is a rewarding experience that allows you to gain real-world professional work experience. City of Tucson: Office of Mayor Regina Romero (Internship)

The Office of Mayor Romero is seeking interns for Fall 2020, as well as Spring and Summer 2021.
The internship is designed for students to learn more about the public policy process, and the history of the City of Tucson.  This is a hybrid internship designed with in-office and off-premise components.  Interns will have the flexibility of coordinating their own schedule to accommodate school.  Interns will be assisting staff with constituent requests, community inquiries and other tasks as assigned.
